    I don’t like to post unoriginal content on here, but making an exception on this one. This video is everything I wish I could ever do on skis, and I find myself watching it 3-4 times in awe. Every landing is perfect, every spin looks calculated and precise—not just adding extra 180s on spins for extra 180s sake—and the whole thing is just amazingly clean. 

    Winter was awful around here, but I enjoyed getting out the times that I did and pushed myself along the way. If and when a real winter ever resurfaces, I’m sure I’ll watch this even more.

    Ugh. So there’s this. I actually saw this guy last weekend flying down the pedestrian walkway along the West Side Highway while I was playing basketball. It was remarkably bizarre at the time, and watching this video now, it still is.

    It’s fun to think about the guy who’s sitting in the back of a car filming this while this guy manically kicks and pokes his way through traffic. 

    However, if this guy weren’t decked out in in bright white and pinkish-red tights, and had a massive flag on the back of his board (which he had when I saw him too), and was dressed normally, would this be as god awful looking? I mean, I think it would, but that’s just me. 

    Overall though, I think the title of the video is the funniest part—”SpikeBoarding World Premier  - The Sport of Balanced Strength.”

    Mountain Creek, New Jersey—Despite a pitiful winter, as seen here, still pretty good conditions today with bluebird skies. The park was in pretty great shape, and I always enjoy hitting rails amongst guys and kids in size XXXXXL sweatshirts and tee shirts on top. Go New Jersey. Also, the thirtytwo van I saw on my brother’s street in Greenpoint on Friday night was parked, in the snow, at the bottom of the park giving out boards to demo and blasting songs spanning the entire Built to Spill catalogue, which, you know, was awesome.
